Today is R U OK Day and we’d like to remind everyone in our community that it’s OK to not be OK and to reach out for help when needed. But also, that when people are struggling mentally and emotionally, it can be very difficult for them to ask for help, or sometimes even recognise that they do need help. So, we really need to look after the people around us, and when things don’t seem OK, to open up a conversation.

The R U OK? project recommends these four steps:

1. Ask R U OK?

2. Listen

3. Encourage action

4. Check in
